The Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega proudly continues to strengthen international cooperation through the Erasmus+ programme and professional internships for tourism students.
From May 18 to May 22, 2026, as part of cooperation with AURETIS POŽEGA d.o.o., two female students from Albania and one student from Uzbekistan stayed in Baška, where they completed their Erasmus+ professional internship and gained valuable experience in a real working environment.
During their stay and fieldwork, the students had the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience, develop professional competencies, and become familiar with different forms of tourism through daily activities and an international setting. A special value of the mobility was the interactive presentations, during which the students introduced their home countries, cultures, and traditions, highlighting cultural diversity and mutual understanding.
Great support during the mobility was provided by Erasmus buddy and promoter Luka Madžarević, who, through his engagement as translator and assistant, facilitated communication, adaptation, and active involvement of the students in all internship activities.
Such forms of academic mobility are of great importance for the development of international cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and experience, and further confirm the value of linking higher education with practice and the tourism sector.
