FTRR Alumni: Education and Tasting at Vinum Academicum

As part of the rich program for this year, members of the Alumni Association "FTRR" had the opportunity to participate in a unique wine education and a tour of the top vineyard Vinum Academicum in Podgorje.

On that occasion, they tasted numerous wine varieties such as: Graševina, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Yellow Muscat, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc., which gives a wide range of wine connoisseurs to enjoy and pair with autochthonous dishes that are studied at the study of Tourism and Enogastronomy in Požega. The tasting was led by cellar engineer Danijel Klemenić, also an alumni of the faculty in the field of biotechnical sciences. During the presentation, he presented a number of interesting facts about the procedure of pruning, harvesting and the process of wine production and aging, with special emphasis on some specific wines - ice wine, selective harvest of dried berries and late harvest.
