Welcome Day for Incoming Erasmus+ Students at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, incoming student mobility for study purposes has been realised at the Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega during the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. A total of 15 students from four countries will spend the semester at the Faculty.

During their stay, the students will attend classes, participate in academic and research activities, and have the opportunity to learn more about Croatian culture, traditions, and tourism potential. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by the Dean, Vice-Deans, and the Erasmus+ coordinator. As part of the welcome programme, the students also participated in a guided tour of the Gradska knjižnica Požega, where they were introduced to the library’s work and its role in the city's cultural and educational life.


The students come from four countries and five partner institutions:


Ukraine

  • Odesa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture: Hiunai Hadzhyeva, Iryna Radchuk, Yevhenii Tseluiko, and Mykhailo Khludniev
  • Uzhhorod National University: Yana Hedzur, Kateryna Maksymova, and Kateryna Vudmaska


Türkiye

  • Ordu University – student Arzu Aktas


Uzbekistan

  • Central Asian University – student Izzatilla Rakhmatullaev


India

  • Cochin University of Science and Technology: Archana Ambujakshan Nair, Athira Rema Devi Jayakumar, Anamika Sabu, Riya Sakeer Ayyan Kuyyan, Amal John Stephan, and Vysakh Sreenivasan


Incoming student mobility is an important contribution to the Faculty's internationalisation and enables the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and cultures between students and academic staff. Participation in the Erasmus+ programme provides students with valuable international experience, develops intercultural competencies, and strengthens international cooperation between partner institutions.


The Faculty of Tourism and Rural Development in Požega wishes the students a successful and productive stay, as well as many achievements in their academic and personal experiences during their mobility.
